Situated on the shores of Lake Tekapo is the Church of the Good Shepherd is arguably one of the most photographed in New Zealand and features an altar window that frames views of the lake and mountains. In the summer the lakeshore around the church is awash with colour from lupins (flowers) but I was too late in the year for this. Astrophotography is also popular in this location as there is little light pollution but the conditions did not work for me later that evening. Well, there is always next time.
