This is another iconic view, of the Seattle Skyline, taken from Kerry Park in the city. In the background is Mount Rainier, sixty miles away, ascending to 14,410 feet above sea level, standing as an icon in the Washington landscape. An active volcano, Mount Rainier is the most glaciated peak in the contiguous U.S.A., spawning five major rivers. I love the colour in this image, the sunset catching the haze in the background and the city skyline. The more time I spend with this image, lets me draw contrast from the massive man-made and natural elements in the composition.
