I named this shot ‘The Kings Road’ as this spot has now become infamous due to Game of Thrones using it as filming location. These trees are known locally as ‘The Dark Hedges’ and are just one of the attractions that make the north coast of Northern Ireland a dream for landscape photographers . It was 5 am on a summer morning and the rising sun caused mist which reminded me of the scene from the show. The best part of being there so early however was avoiding the hundreds of daily visitors the trees now attract.
