It was a cold, foggy, winter day and I thought that there was no hope of getting any kind of shot. Honestly I couldn’t even see my hand in front of my face when leaving home. I planned to go to a nearby forest to see if there was a misty image hiding within the trees. On route to the forest, I went over some hills and rose above the fog to a completely different world. Scrabo Tower, at the top of Strangford Lough, sat out like it was on an island in a sea of fog. The light was not great when I found this composition but it had all the potential for a great sunset shot. Returning as the sun was setting the colours started popping off the clouds and the top of the fog and this was the result.
