It’s a rare occasion when the temperature drops low enough for Spelga Reservoir in the Mourne Moutains to freeze over. The ice had already melted quite a bit by the time I got there. The wind blowing across the water surface caused waves which shattered the remaining ice around the edge of the resevoir. I love the texture in the shattered ice, the cool minimal colour palette and the contrast between the snow covered mountains and stormy sky.
