It was late afternoon when I arrived at Ruby Beach. This beach is the northernmost of the southern beaches in the coastal section of Olympic National Park in the U.S. state of Washington. I had been told that there were great images to be had at sunset and that I should make it a must visit. Travelling up Highway 101, the sun was splitting the trees and I thought chances are going to be good here. When I arrived the Pacific Mist had rolled in and the scene was a lot different than I had imagined. At first, I was disappointed however, after walking around this was one of several shots that I took here at Ruby Beach. Looking back now initial disappointment has been replaced with satisfaction, as after working the scene I came away with some of my favourite images.
