This is an image of the super moon of November 2017 rising over the Irish Sea behind the lighthouse in Donaghadee, County Down, Northern Ireland. This is actually the night after the full moon as cloud cover had obscured the moon on the previous two evenings. Having caught glimpses of the moon between the clouds on the previous nights I knew my composition so just had to turn up and hope to get a break – in the clouds. I guess sometimes it really is third time lucky!
