I took this image from Cave Hill which overlooks Belfast. It was a crisp winter day and in the city, the day seemed grey and murky due to the thick fog. However, once I got some altitude the scene was completely changed. The air was so clear, the mountains in the background are over 40 miles (64km) away. I love the layers you can see from the foreground all the way to the mountains in the background and the city poking out from the fog give it a ghost-like feel.
